Competition

 Elite Dance Center offers competition classes for dancers age 4-18. These classes are designed for the dancer who is interested in taking their dance beyond the recital stage. Elite Dance Center will compete at the regional and national level. We offer teams for all levels of dancer. You will need to audition for proper placement of competition teams! 

All competition dancers will be required to take a ballet class!

 Students ages 4 and older are invited to try out for a team. 

• Dancers should be in proper dance attire. Leotard or sports bra, tights, shorts, dance shoes and hair in a bun!!

• We have a variety of competitive teams and therefore encourage all skill and experience levels to audition, however, please remember that auditioning does not guarantee placement on a competitive team. 

• Information sheets will be available at auditions!!

• In our new parent meeting we will discuss how competition works and what the requirements will be. You will also be given the opportunity to meet with some current competition parents!
  
• Team placement will be posted no later than July 24th. When your child comes to audition they will receive a number. Keep that number handy. Your child's team placement will be identified by their audition number. 

• Auditions are done by age and style. Come to the time for the age you are on the day of auditions!! 
  
• Dancers do not need to prepare an audition piece. 
  
• We compete in jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, production, pom, and tumble! With the exception of our 4-5 years old (your audition is combined) you only need to come to the audition for the dance style in wish you want to be considered for a team. You must attend the jazz portion for pom or production. 

• Please send your dancer with water and a light snack if needed.
